The Objecteth Is Very Much Imp'rtant

What is the most important OBJECT in your story?  Tell me about this object's history, then tell me what role this object plays in your story.  If that object didn't exist, how would the event of your book have gone different? This question is applicable to both fiction and non-fiction texts.

For example, if you were reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, the Sorcerer's Stone would obviously be the most important object.  The answer to this question may be more apparent for some books than others.

     I'd like to think everything is a butterfly affect. Without the main protagonist's, Shindou Shuichi, aspiration towards being a musician, he probably wouldn't have met Yuki Eiri because essentially,  Yuki has a connection to a record label that Shuichi always dreamed to being apart of. While this object may not be quite the materialistic item that everyone would expect, it's something that vital to all of the events that follows in the story. There is no guarantee that I am correct, considering that this manga is a romance genre, but its Shuichi's passion for music that led him to all of these new meetings.

1. What do you think inspired your author to write this book?      Most likely his fascination in murder mysteries and admiration for the detective genre. There are occasional mentions of Arthur Conan Doyle, an author most notable for his detective novel featuring Sherlock Holmes. 1. Who is the villain of your story? (Even non-fiction stories have a villain.)  In a well-developed paragraph, describe who or what is the villain and what motivates them.      Considering it being a self-proclaimed "modern Sherlock Holmes," there'd be a handful of suspects listed under category of villainous figures. Choosing a culprit from past murder cases simply would not suffice, since none are suitable in being the main antagonist.      The author made it clear that the maon protagonist, Shinichi Kudo, is after "the men in black" which the author later implied belongs to the Syndicate- an organization or a gang of some sorts. Mysteries continues to shroud their characters and not much has been established so far throughout the first through fifth volume, aside from their development in untraceable lethal poison and their occasional appointments with wealthy figures.      I've got plenty of theories up my sleev...

1. Did this book make you laugh? Cry? Smile? Cringe? Cheer? Explain.      The series is rather amusing in the aspect of different ways the crime is being executed, like "how to kill people in really creative ways 101." But it also gives you this irritating anticipation as it slowly drags on the clues leading to who the culprit is. It's also annoying how one of the certified detective has such an inflated ego that it takes off about a few panels to interrupt the investigation and disregard the child protagonist even though it's not his own abilities that solved the mystery but the shrunken high school student.. Of course, those panels are for comedic purposes. 2.
